The Arts Education Initiative
The Arts Education Initiative (AEI) based in the Graduate School of Education
at the University of California, Berkeley, brings together educators from colleges and universities, from Preschool-12 schools, and from the arts, in an effort to foster extensive integration of the arts throughout P-12 education. Partners in the AEI are dedicated to integrating the arts into the professional development of new teachers and school leaders, along the entire “pipeline” from their initial recruitment into teaching and leadership careers, through their pre-service preparation, and into their early years of in-service practice in P-12 schools.
